In Lindsey's latest talkback on the official wiki, she states that there will be an update for the festival changes in the towns today, but she was vague on whether it would include the much-hyped content update.

Yep its a little confusing with there website saying one thing and the log in screen saying another.

However most people are curious whether the live update that will happen this evening/afternoon will include the new content ie; the little pet zoo and zaishen etc, or will they update the new content gradually over the next few days. Besides they never say when the live update will happen in the log in screen.

The time when the event starts is pretty clear cut though.

Watch them fix the date on the announcment screen after the live update, which might happen today or next year..or..I am confused

It may be 1 more hour until cupcakes start dropping, but that is likely delayed until after the update as well. Updates usually happen around 4pm pst, or 5 hours from now.

How friggin hard would it be for the CR manager to come on here and straighten everything out?

Pretty sure they have more important things to do than feed peoples impatience. The update will come when the update is ready.
